Rangeen started as the printing unit of Weavers Studio in 1995. It had 5 block printing tables and specialized in natural dyeing and printing techniques.
Over the years, the market requirements and demand led to Rangeen moving to a larger space and increasing it’s infrastructure to accommodate 16 block and 2 screen printing tables along with pigment printing, acid and discharge, handpaint, stencil & sprays, tie n dye and other techniques. |

We have entered the field of contemporary art where our workshops, skilled labour and craftsmen assist the leading contemporary artists to paint on textiles using natural colours, resist techniques and hand block printing resulting in unique art textiles. This has captured the traditional techniques used by master craftsmen in India and the visions of the contemporary Artists. Design students are encouraged to interact and do projects with the artists, craftspersons, cooperatives, societies underprivileged and special women and children to help with vocational training, experiment with new raw materials, designs and combine skills and techniques as a group to achieve, innovative one of a kind pieces,view old textiles and reproduce. |
